How to replace ink pen cartridge

Cross refill – Slimline style and Saturn style

• • • • Hold ink pen with one hand by the wood on the tip end and one hand on the wood part of the clip end.
      • Pull the clip end off.
      • Grasp the black top of the ink refill and unscrew.
      • Pull out the old ink refill.
      • Place new refill in the lower half of the pen and tighten by screwing in the refill.
      • Push the clip end back on the tip end.

Parker refill – Mesa Style, Phoenix style and Cigar style

• • • • Hold ink pen with one hand on the metal bottom and one hand on the wooden top.
      • Pull off top. (Never try to unscrew the top)
      • Grasp the brass portion of the pen mechanism and unscrew.
      • Take out the old ink refill and take out the refill spring.
      • Place the refill spring on the new refill and carefully place the refill in the tip assembly. (Do not bend or force the spring)
      • Grasp the brass portion of the pen mechanism and screw it onto the pen tip assembly. Tighten snugly.
      • Push the wooden cap assembly back on the tip assembly.
